Dr. Andrew J. Cottingham, Jr. (Retired April 2010)

NOTICE OF RETIREMENT

Over the past 47 years it has been an honor and a privilege to serve as a physician in many capacities and in many areas of the world. I initially served in the U.S. Army for twenty years and then after additional training began a practice of Ophthalmology here in San Antonio in 1988.

I am retiring from the active practice of Ophthalmology at the end of April 2010. As many of you know Dr. Lisa Marten purchased this practice two years ago, and it has been a privilege and an enjoyment to work with her. I have every confidence that if you wish to continue your eye care at the South Texas Eye Institute that you will be in good hands and pleased with her care. She is a caring Fellowship trained Corneal and Refractive Surgery Ophthalmologist, but practices Comprehensive Ophthalmology.

Most importantly I want to thank you for entrusting the care of your eyes to me over all these past twenty-two years. Again it has been my great honor to have you as my patient for I am the one who has benefited and learned the most. God bless you.

Andrew J. Cottingham Jr.
