Both, Dr. Cottingham and I, are pleased to have with us Dr. Lisa Marten. Dr. Marten is the newest addition to our treatment team here. We are particularly pleased that she has chosen to join us. Dr. Marten came to know and appreciates San Antonio while doing her ophthalmology residency right here at the Health Sciences Center. There she became known for her considerable skills as well as her demeanor with patients, it was very much appreciating. She recently returned from her extra year of specialized training in medical and surgical diseases of the cornea the Wang Vision Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. There she spent time learning the most advanced refractive surgery techniques as well as the medical and surgical care for diseases of the cornea. Her interest outside of medicine are almost anything that involves her husband and her young son but she particularly enjoys painting and playing the piano. We here at South Texas Eye Institute realize that Dr. Marten could have chosen to practice anywhere and we are particularly pleased that she has chosen to join us. Plan to come by and get acquainted with Dr. Marten either on a first visit or return visit basis. We look forward to seeing you here soon.
