IntraLASE is all laser LASIK. This is distinct from bladed LASIK or LASIK traditionally done with knife blades. In my opinion, this advance has done the most to encourage people to consider LASIK as a refractive procedure mostly because it relieves so much anxiety for both the patient and the surgeon as well. All laser LASIK has given us almost a complication free procedure. The patients generally describe the experience of the IntraLASE procedure as a mild sensation of pressure, minor discomfort but not painful.
