The Intacs® Procedure
00:14
For the Intacs® procedure, we use the femtosecond laser rather than a blade.
It is very important with cornea transplants for patients to be aware that they do not get their best vision for many months following the procedure. During the first few weeks to months, the patient must be on drops very often and they have to comply with the drops because if they do not, they can always have a rejection or an infection, which is not good to have. Keeping their drug regimen and doing their drops is very important. Also keeping their, their followup appointments just to prevent any problems that they may not feel.
