The service is exceptional. Dr Marten is an amazing doctor. She helped me with an eye injury a few years ago and so I trusted her to carry out my LASIK procedure recently. Dr Marten and the team have done a great job and my vision is better than when I had glasses before the surgery. I would highly recommend South Texas Eye Institute.

Your San Antonio LASIK Experts

Are you seeking a qualified LASIK surgeon in San Antonio? If so, we provide advanced LASIK surgery with a track record of excellent outcomes. Our patients are typically very happy after surgery and have wonderful outcomes. Our state-of-the-art LASIK technology enables our eye doctors to perform at the highest level. Feel free to request information from our LASIK pricing form to get more information on the affordability of LASIK at South Texas Eye Institute. We aim to make LASIK prices reasonable for all our patients and we can even extend special patient financing options. We invite you to our practice for a LASIK consultation to help you better understand what LASIK or refractive surgery could do for your vision. Improving vision and getting great LASIK results is the main priority at this eye care practice.

Understanding LASIK pricing in San Antonio can be frustrating and unnecessarily difficult. We like to make things EASY! We offer a total LASIK package that is all-inclusive. Our LASIK pricing is open and transparent, and can be requested at any time. One of our LASIK counselors will be happy to call you and discuss this directly with you.

LASIK vision correction is not necessarily for everyone. Certain factors disqualify an individual from being a candidate for LASIK surgery, such as certain eye conditions or being under 18.

  • You are at least 21
  • You are not pregnant or nursing
  • You don’t have a thin cornea
  • You don’t have dry eye
  • You’re in relatively good overall health
  • You have a stable prescription

The best way to determine your candidacy is with a proper screening and thorough evaluation from an experienced refractive surgeon in San Antonio, TX.

LASIK technology has come a long way since its inception in the late 1990s. Our technology in the pre-operative exam section is vast and includes cornea diagnostics for specific measurements that will tell us if LASIK is right for you. We offer state of the art bladeless LASIK with the iLASIK suite, including the VISX Star 4 with a femtosecond laser called Intralase.

As part of the Pre-operative Exam, our eye doctors and staff will perform a series of tests to determine the overall health of your eyes. This thorough eye exam is often described as one of the most comprehensive exams our patients have ever had. We are meticulous about getting your LASIK diagnosis correct. On the day of the LASIK exam, we want you to relax and be comfortable. You will need to have your eyes dilated, which means you will have sensitivity to light for most likely the remainder of the day. If you have questions regarding the specific LASIK diagnostic technology we use here, please contact one of our LASIK counselors.

We offer more than just LASIK. Each patient is unique, and we make customized vision correction suggestions based on what is best for your eyes.

Unlike many San Antonio LASIK centers, we offer a variety of refractive procedures, including PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy), Visian ICL (Implantable Contact Lens), and RLE (Refractive Lens Exchange). Each one of these vision correction procedures is unique and very different from LASIK eye surgery.

Dr. Lisa Marten and our team of ophthalmologist will evaluate each patient individually to make the correct suggestion. All of our suggestions will be explained thoroughly at your pre-operative exam, and you will leave here confident that your future eye surgery will be successful.
