LASIK Self-Test

Think Outside The Box When Paying For LASIK!

Many people interested in undergoing LASIK may give up before they find out all the facts. After all, a life without glasses or contacts sounds good. But is it too good to be true?

LASIK surgery isn’t always cheap, even for those that can afford it up-front. And for those on a budget, the average cost of $5,000 may make them run for the hills.

But what if we told you that you too can afford LASIK no matter how much money you make or how tight your budget is? Start looking for an experienced LASIK surgeon because all you have to do is think outside of the box!

Pick up a side gig if you’re industrious

Maybe you were raised to work hard for what you have to appreciate it all the more. If so, there’s a good chance that the idea of financing your LASIK surgery isn’t ideal.

You could go through a major company, get a personal loan, or put it on a zero-interest credit card. There’s got to be something better, right?

If earning your keep is how you want to save up for LASIK, it’s time to start looking for a part-time job that you will enjoy.

No one is suggesting you work 40 hours at your main job and the part-time one, of course. This is about saving, but not at the expense of your health or sanity.

You can start by looking on the internet. Like driving and talking to people? Consider applying to become an Uber or Lyft driver! You can also get a gig as a delivery driver for local restaurants.

Love pets? Are you the reliable one your friends call to house sit when they go out of town?

There are plenty of apps that make it easy to sign up for dog sitting, dog walking, and house sitting! Having a side gig doesn’t have to be miserable if you do things you enjoy!

Ditch the Designer Purses

Or the Power Puff Girls collection. Or the Star Wars collection. If you have things that you know other people will pay for, you can sell them.

You should only go down this route if you’re really comfortable with it! LASIK is great but there are other ways you can save the money besides selling your stuff.

Comfortable with it? Set up pages on eBay and Facebook and start selling!

Let Your Creative Side Shine

Many people have a creative side that isn’t nurtured in their day-to-day job. It’s not like there’s a need for incredible needlepoint in the office.

You can use your creative side to help you earn some cash towards your LASIK cost. It can be anything: photography, knitting, creating miniature furniture, the possibilities are endless!

If you’re actually going to make money, figure out your cost for creating your crafts or products. Then, you can determine a selling price that allows you to make money instead of losing it. Ready to sell? Check out Etsy or your local craft fairs!
